- 4 eggs,well beaten shopping list
- 1 package (about 8 oz. ) fresh beansprouts,or 1 (1#) can,drained shopping list
- 1/3 cup diagonly ,thinly sliced green tailed onions shopping list
- 1 cup (about 8 oz.) flaked,cooked crab meat,small shrimp or slivers of chicken-or no meat for vegitarian style shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. pepper shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder shopping list
- 2 Tbs.oil for frying shopping list

- 1 tsp. cornstarch shopping list
- 1 tsp. sugar shopping list
- 2 tsp soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tsp. vinegar shopping list
- 1/2 cup chicken broth or vegetable stock shopping list
How to make it
- combine all of the ingredients except oil, mixing lightly
- heat oil,using just enough to coat bottom of a large skillet, using the rest of the oil as needed
- using 1/4 cup of mixture,fry as you would a pancake, turning once
- remove to a heated plate and cover to keep warm till all are cooked
- in the meantime make sauce

- combine all of the ingredients,over medium heat in a small pan
- cook till sauce has thickened, pour over foo yung and serve

I love Egg Foo Yung and like robertg says it's like stew and you can use just about any ingredients, leftover or fresh! The addition of the vinegar to the sauce makes it great. IMI thread more
