Manella, I have no idea how big a squash ball is, but those potatoes look super yummy!

Bakerme they were delicious. My potatoes were about the size of a tennis ball which I cut in half.

Lol on the squash ball, I wouldn't know how big that was either! Maybe Bren can tell us :) This is going on my list to make, sound delicious!!!

It's about the size of a squishy ball used to improve hand and forearm strength.
Bigger than a golf ball, smaller than a tennis ball.

Yes, Points in right about the size. When I don't have that size I will do exactly as Manella did. Do you think that I should change the instructions so they're clearer?

    They're clear enough.

I stand corrected. A squash ball is smaller than a golf ball and slightly smaller than a ping-pong ball.
    It's barely over 1.5 inches.

OK, I didn't know how big a squash ball is. I only know squash as a vegetable. :-)
I've made something like these before. I like how crispy the skin gets.

Sorry for the confusion. A squash ball is roughly two inches at it's widest point but any smaller potato will work.

Tried Bren's recipe a couple of nights ago. Didn't go to as much work as she did cooking the potatoes up. Used a method I'd tried before for smashed potatoes which just calls for nuking them in the microwave until tender and then pressing down on them until they 'smash'. :) Fried them up in a frying pan with all the ingredients called for. Very nice. Might be fun to try balsamic vinegar next time. My potato was bigger than Bren's in her photo and I smashed mine more so it's not as photogenic....but it was yummy! :)
