Tamale Pie

A recipe from Littlemissey Tamale Pie

This was really good! I did change it up a bit though.. I used 1 lb of ground turkey, added the corn (instead of adding to the corn bread mixture) along with a can of rinsed & drained kidney beans and some sliced black olives! I also halved the recipe and used a 2 quart baking dish which worked perfectly:) I baked in a 375 F oven for about 30 minutes...I used a little medium shredded cheese to top the cornbread..made it a little chewy, but I kindof liked it :)

You guys are killing me! Just throw some mushrooms at me, why don't ya?
    :-) hehe
I love tamale pie. I haven't had it in while. I like this one of Pat's Slow Cooker Tamale Pie
but that is slow cooker, of course. Geez, I wish I had some right now. It looks so good and yummy, Marie! Olives and all! :-)

I have to put this on our menu rotation. I'll have to skip the olives for Fred. I can add some to mine after the fact. Love the picture.

    Thanks ladies:)
LOL Frankieanne! Hot mushrooms! I'll have to remember to add some:) I also prefer Pat's recipe over this one, but I didn't have any enchilada sauce (and didn't have the ingredients to make homemade, didn't feel like making homemade even if I had the ingredients!) so I did a search and found this recipe...

Tina, you can omit the olives no problem! Soooo Fred & FA are both hot olive haters! LOL
Like I mentioned above, I prefer Pat's Slow Cooker recipe:) Both are good, but Pat's is my fav:)
