    Bread Machine Garlic Bread
I hated giving the bread only four stars as Grizz isn't around anymore but it just didn't taste very garlicky to me after it cooled. Which surprised me as the house smelled powerfully of garlic from the very start while it was in my machine. It also has a very hard crust, which isn't appealing to me personally. But I did use the Medium crust setting instead of the Light that I usually use. Back to Light. Another member said they used fresh garlic which may be the ticket to a more garlicky taste.
The chicken recipe was nice and easy. I would think this would be very kid friendly. I could not eat all in the picture. I only ate half of the chicken shown although I did eat all the pasta. I love me some pasta! I like how the pepperoni are making the chicken look like this: :-P
    haha
I had some fresh basil from my garden all chopped up. And forgot it - naturally.
A few more details on the recipe.

Made a remark on the bread recipe page a while back but don't think I got around to making it. Coarser grain in your bread looks like a one rise bread. I would have to do it with two rises.
Have both types garlic. Maybe a test-off is in order.

    Cute chicken! :) :)

As for the bread, 2t of powder is not very much, at all, for a loaf of bread. Around here, we prefer our garlic bread made with melted butter mixed with garlic powder and brushed on a loaf of Italian bread...when I do that, I'm using a couple tablespoons of powder mixed with the butter to get a nice garlicy flavor.

I'd think you'd need quite a bit more to get the right flavor.

Also, I've had breads baked with whole cloves of garlic baked in and I didn't care for that. It was a bit too much in a "bite" for me.

Anxious to see how it turns out for you, P7O!

Believe I would saute the garlic in the butter to take the raw bite out of the fresh garlic.

Well, the bread does taste more garlicky today. Its a lot better after sitting, I guess. I'll be interested to see how this goes for you, pso, if you make it.
The cute and funny chicken was good today, too. :)
