Another Troubling Thursday

Found I did my math wrong for the Osmocote distribution among the tomato plants. Having to put more on the plants. Also finding out that the plants are big enough that they are starting to grab adjacent plants in adjacent trays when pulled from under the grow lights. I wasn't being careful enough and injured the growing top of one of the plants. Tried to make a sling but I'm not holding out a lot of hope. Need to be a lot more careful from now on. I'm thinking my first casualty.

The big boy plants are putting on a growing spurt now that they are moved to the other side of the table, away from the french door and toward the floor register.

Still on left overs today. Mashed potatoes and Diva's one dish sensational chicken with rice. Got a letter saying she had revised the recipe again. Have to go see.

We are missing all the snow that's getting dumped in the Poconos and upper NY...It's too warm here so we're getting rain....They're calling it a snowacane on the news.

    A SNOWACANE? wow...

My plan B is going to be to recreate our favorite take out dish from local restaurant MexiWings. (We are going out to dinner and to listen to music Sat night, so I'm going to be nice and cook instead of asking to go out again...dummy me). Anyway, on the menu it's called Grilled Michoan Chicken Breast, or some such nonsense. lol It's served over spanish rice, and it's a grilled chicken breast in a cheesey sauce with grilled onions and mushrooms. Should be easy enough to do something pretty darn close. Not sure how I'm gonna do the sauce yet. Will post if it turns out well.

    Good morning all -
Sorry about your plant troubles P7O. A few granuales didn't sound like enough but better to err on the side of caution and not burn them. Good luck!
Grilled Michoan Chicken Breast sounds great.
Chicken tacos sound great Pat. Is the apple crostada posted??
Take care Wynne - hope you don't lose power - your chicken cutlets sound good.
We're having Crock Pot French Dip sandwiches (posted). and I think some oven fries to go with it. Hubby like plain au jus but I like mine spiced up a bit with barbeque sauce.
    Have a good day everyone!

Sparow--that chicken sounds wonderful. Do post, if you figure out a great sub.
LeClare--We're doing tacos, too. Just the regular kind!
Val--Crockpot french dips are amazing. Love that!

Nothing exciting over here today. Just the same routine and tacos to end it all....:-)

    Sorry about your tomatoes, P7O.
Pat, chicken tacos - Wynne, spicy fried chicken cutlets - Lori, Michoan Chicken - sounds like you all got the chicken memo - like the pork one yesterday! Sounds good btw.
That is some really strong wind, Wynne. Hope you're all hunkered down for it!
Val, I'm making chuck roast too, but just the regular pot roast variety.
Judy, nothing exciting here either - just another week with the old man... not working....driving me nuts... nuff said.

I am thinking someone extended the afternoon sleepy hours. 5 o'clock and I could go to bed right now. Cold weather is really getting to me...I can tell by what I ended up bringing home from the store. Went for green peppers and brought back strawberries, zucchini and cucumbers too. LOL, ready for some garden fresh summer veggies.

Think I'm gonna try the Chi Chi's Oven Fried Chicken recipe tonight. It calls for salsa/taco sauce. Doesn't state an exact one so I will go with the sauce my sis brought me from the restaurant she works at, Mexican Villa. It's on the sweet side. I hope it works out....
