Last day to Mail Monday

If you don't want to pay extra bucks for Chistmas delivery, get your packages to the post today.

Apples have apples. Funny. I did get a chuckle at your gentle reminder about my own inability to say "no". She came home yesterday and fell asleep again. Off to work at 6:30 this a.m. again. She is not a morning person and this has been a rough change. She regrets changing from Beef O'Brady's to Toasted Monkey in the worst way. Live and learn.

The Honeybun cake was demolished by hubby and child. No beauty shot, but it is tasty.

Wishing everyone a great start to a good week.

Pictures of my Woodland wonderland tree.

Good morning Tina:) Lovely pictures of your Christmas tree! I am going to Chico to pick up ingredients for Ricks Panettone Bread Machine..then to Costco..I'll check back in later:)

I'm leaning towards turkey burgers and baked red potato wedges for dinner..I'm all out of buns, but I think a good sourdough burger will be just fine:)

    Happy Monday all:)

Beautiful pix of your Christmas tree, Tina. Hi, Marie!

Just sat down to quick send a post, and A.C. went into the kitchen. I distinctly heard a thump so he has tried to check out the counters and was thwarted when I hollered at him. Bad kitty. I have a bowl of chili out and am cooking some macaroni for chili mac for lunch for the guys.

Wayne and his buddy are working with the "new" used baler to try to fit it into the barn. It is not good to leave them outside, even if they are covered with a tarp.

We have Fire Dept. Board meeting tonight. Really not looking forward to it. We have one board member who is a royal pain. I am prepared.

Cleaned out the rewervoir (wrong spelling, I am sure) in the Keurig - lots of hard water scale came out. I will have to run vinegar through it when I get some more vinegar! The water softener just rose several notches on the "must get" list.

Macaroni should be done so I will be off to fix lunch. Have a good day.

"Them" meant balers not the guys. LOL.

Karen, giggle. That was funny. Them boys under that there tarp are in trouble, they don't last. A.C., you little sneak. Don't you know better than to irritate the hand that feeds you? I love my soft water system. No salt needed ever. Of course, I can't remember the name of it to recommend to you. I'm boiling up some macaroni myself for a tuna/mac salad for our lunches.

Marie, I so wish I had some of Rick's Panettone. I can see it toasted, French toasted and bread pudding desserts with the yummy goodness. Good luck shopping.

Sent Fred off to get more grain free tiny breed dog food. He is also going to the butcher shop. I asked him to price out prime rib for our area. Plus to the grocers for milk, I don't drink the stuff but he and Olivia will down a gallon with a cake.

Dinner is going to be bacon, cheddar, scallion burgers. Tator tots on the side.
Fish spread from the butcher shop to tide Fred over until I cook supper. Captain's crackers with a bit of fish spread, a nibble of pickle and a dash of hot sauce. He will eat it without pickles or hot sauce.

Thanks for the compliments on the tree. I have enough ornaments to outfit another tree in the same stuff. Apparently the real tree we had that year was enormous and I had to buy a huge number of ornaments. Fred said he was going to get another skinny tree and set it up on the other side of the fireplace. Uh, no Fred, it took me too long to decorate this one. LOL

Morning! I will see all of my family at some point before Christmas, so no package delivery for me! I don't blame Olivia for hating her early hours Tina! I'm NOT a morning person either. Don't talk to me and keep giving me coffee for at least 2 hours lol :) Love the Christmas tree pics. Pretty!

I agree Marie, sourdough sounds yummy on a burger :)

Michael just cleaned out our Keurig and he said it was disgusting! We need to remember to clean it out more often, gross!! Enjoy your lunch!

Did a little bit of running around today and am now finally eating lunch. About to put Spicy Pulled Pork Tacos in the slow cooker. Going to try and make some Paleo tortillas to go along with it. I have a bunch of good looking one's Pinned. Have 2 hours of dance class tonight (UGHH) so we will eat dinner when we get home. Hope everyone is having a great day!!

Hi Guys! Jim had another meeting with his Lawyer re: the Severance Package so I went along for company. I think we're addicted to Dim Sum as we went back to "Fusion" and enjoyed Shrimp tempura, Sweet Potato tempura, spring rolls, Squid and Sticky rice (for Jim only), Salmon teriyaki, pork sui mai (we ordered shrimp but they got it mixed up) and pot stickers (which were the only dissapointments as the dough was really thick!). Stuffed now. 3 p.m. and I haven't taken anything out to thaw for dinner. No clues in my head what to make either. :(
Tina, I truly love your tree. It is very 'me' even though it's yours. :) LOL! I'm a huge milk drinker myself. Always have been. The fish spread sounds interesting. Love the dash of hot sauce on it. I've always wanted a very skinny tree for our front foyer but never have come across one exactly like the one in my head nor for the price I want to pay. :) Our main Christmas tree is getting very old as well and Jim says it may be time we should shop for a new one. Obviously after Christmas is the wisest time.
Marie, it brings me pleasure to hear of it being that time of year again that Rick is going into Panettone mode. Traditions are just fun, no matter whose they are. :) Your dinner idea sounds fabulous. We popped into Costco on the way home. CRAZY busy as always. But I now have enough bird seed that I think I don't have to go back in there until the New Year. :)
Chili Mac sounds yummy Karen. I could go for that for dinner but Jim's not a 'mac' guy. :( It did give me a giggle to imagine the guys walking around covered by a tarp.
So you're not a morning person Michelle. :) It's so amusing how strongly people feel about that. I, on the other hand am a total morning person and drive people nuts with my cheery good mornings first thing. :) Neat on the Paleo tortillas. Hope dance class goes by swiftly.

Wayne's buddy is on his way home. I went out for a bit while they put stuff up in the barn -- managed to put 2 tractors, 2 balers, 1 lawn mower, 1 Gator, 1 huge tank, 1 mower that hooks on the back of the tractor, in the barn with a hay mow, workbench, grain-storage freezer, and a large storage area off to the side. They had it measured to the inch.

I have to finish the minutes for the meeting, so best be scooting. See you later.

Tina I watched a Jamie Oliver Christmas Special earlier and he was making a Smoked Trout pate that made me think of the fish spread you mentioned.
    http://www.jamieoliver.com/recipes/fish-recipes/baby-yorkshire-puds-creamy-smoked-trout-horseradish-pate/
I'd love to give it a try but I've got to master Yorkshire pudding first. :)
Hope your Fire Dept. meeting goes by quick and painlessly Karen!
That's great Rick got a lot of calls today Marie. Yum on your soup. I'm getting a big craving for some more soup soon.
Decided to make those Smoked Meat sandwiches that I was going to make last weekend for our dinner this evening since I didn't have anything thawed. Jim has lit us a fire and we have a Sens Game about to start.
Starting to receive some Christmas cards back in the mail now and it's always heart warming to hear news from those you haven't heard from since last Christmas. One of my good friends from High School just lost her Dad at the beginning of the month which was very sad news and then another one of my friends is about to become a Grandma for the very first time on Dec. 27th. The Circle of Life.
