Monday Morning Too Early

    Good morning.

Woke up at 5:30 this morning bright and cheerful (NOT) so gave up and decided to sit in the sun room with a cup of coffee before attacking the housework. The carpet for the bedroom is being installed this morning - the bed will be delivered on Thursday. Hopefully we can arrange furniture etc. before Friday night. Friends from Indiana are stopping in for the weekend and we plan on Silver Dollar City Saturday.

I ended up having a Schwanns Mango Peach (I think) smoothie for supper at around 11:00, Wayne fixed a sandwich and went back to painting. After the car trouble etc. it was after 7 until we were able to start painting. It will need some touching up since I am NOT the neatest painter. LOL! Wayne will call the dealer and let them know details about the car trouble. He thinks it is the ignition switch. Sigh! Cars!

Will try to upload pix of the kitties and a flower at the Texas information area. Internet has been super slow and sometimes doesn't cooperate!

Good Morning Karen! I wouldn't be cheerful either waking up at 5:30....jus' sayin'. :) Sounds like a fun weekend coming up for you. Ugh on the car troubles. You sure have been busy with that bedroom reno. It'll look great once you're all done. I used to like painting walls no problem but it's not my fave job anymore. Nice pics. What kind of flower is that? The kittens are getting big!
Cooler here today with a risk of a thunderstorm this afternoon. Jim wants to finish up his eavestrough/weeping tile/trench job so I may take a spin into town and do some errands. Haven't thought of dinner yet. Still enjoying my second cup of coffee.
    Have a great day everybody.

Have no idea what flower it is but liked it so I snapped a picture. It was at a traveler information center in Texas.

A second cup of coffee will probably have to wait until we get some work done. Wayne is headed that way now, so I guess I have to get dressed and get to work. Sigh!

He thinks it is the ignition switch. So glad we got the lifetime warranty and sure hope that is included.

Good Monday Morning! I'm trying very hard to be happy & perky, so what do you think? haha

Oh dear Karen on your car troubles..so glad there was someone ther to help out..LOVE the kitty pic:) I agree with Janet, all this reno business will be well worth the beautiful finished product!!!! BTW, still waiting for MY sun room:) Have a lovely day dear:)

Janet, OH, thunderstorms, I love a good thunderstorm, but during the Winter only..that's what caused all of the wildfires here, lightening...
I haven't thought about dinner either:)

Hi Don, I was going to say good morning, but it's not morning where you are:) I'll have to go to your page and see exactly where Don is! Especially since you get to walk on the beach every morning! I am so jealous!

Morning! Good luck with finishing up the bedroom Karen, wow ya'll were up painting late last night! The kittens are growing like weeds!

Hi Janet, good luck running errands!

Oh yummy, I bookmarked those fajitas Don! I'm also jealous of the daily walks on the beach :)

Dropped the kiddos off for their first day of school! I can't believe Bri is in 5th grade and Caiden is in Kindergarten now. I most in shock that Caiden won't be running around the house all day :( Going to get some laundry done, vacuum, maybe go to the gym at some point if I can ever wake up fully! Dinner tonight is spaghetti and meatballs, going to give this sauce a whirl since I have a can of whole tomatoes that's been sitting in my pantry forever. Homemade Spaghetti Sauce I'm not sure what ground tomatoes is, we don't have those here, but I'm using a can of crushed instead, sounds like a good substitute! Bri has softball practice tonight and Michael is working nights, so I will need to be super woman this evening to get everything done lol. Wishing everyone a great day!

Ugh! I hate car problems, Karen. I hope it gets fixed soon.
The flower in the picture is a Hibiscus they are blooming like crazy in my back yard at the moment.
Janet, There is always something to be done around the house and yard eh!
Hi Don, I would love to be able to walk on the beach everyday. I wish my HB liked to cook. I jokingly call him "Chef Noir". Your Mediterranean Style Mexican Fajitas sound great!
    Hi Marie:)
We are having leftover Prime Rib roast a repeat from last night's dinner. It is getting very dark here and I think the storm is just about ready to let loose.

    Wishing everyone a wonderful day!

Oh wow on the kids starting school today Michelle. Wow on Caiden starting Kindergarten and Wow on you having the day to yourself! :) Does Caiden's kindergarten run the whole day or just half? I think ground and crushed tomatoes would be the same thing. Your evening line up sounds as busy as always so I'm sure you'll get it all done. You are super woman. :)
Ahhh that's it Joce. Hibiscus. I knew it and couldn't think of it! :) Yum on leftover Prime Rib. It's pouring here. Nice though.

Thanks Joce - now I know the flower. Maybe when my garden is in I can plant some in the flowerbed instead of all herbs. Ha ha.

Wayne talked to the dealers and they have the car, asked a few questions and it is being fixed as I type. The bedroom is carpeted - yippee! It picks up the stone colors (this was originally a carport so the stone is the inside walls also! Wayne's buddy was not thrilled with the dark crimson-orange-ish trim - ha ha ha - but it does look cheerful. If we decide to change down the road a blue with touches of gray would work. Original was "gun boat" gray similar to Navy submarines so this is quite different. The carpet is nice and soft and I will take some pix sometime.

Now I can concentrate on getting ready for the weekend.

Plan on relocating kittens to a large crate at night so the bathroom remains clean and people do not have to watch for escaping kitties. Out friends are cat people so they don't get shook if Mel lands on their bed at night and wants to snuggle in. Mel is the beige cat, Trouble is black, and Mauser is black and white. They are destined to become outdoor cats with indoor privileges. I have threatened A.C. with barn residence but he is so bad to Geezer and they have fought REAL fights when he has sneaked outside. He lives up to his nickname "The Bad Kitty."

Michelle, they do grow up quickly. Our daughter is 44 and the oldest GS is 23!

Marie, your sun room time will come!

Don, your Mediterranean Style Mexican Fajitas look great. My other half doesn’t like Mexican fajitas but I may be able to sell him on this recipe!

SP Michelle, I can't believe the kids are in school today! Our kids don't go back until after Labour Day. You will find it very different during the day now. Does Caiden go all day or just a half a day?
Karen, If you do decide to get a Hibiscus plant or two. There are two different types one is tropical and can't stand the winter or frost and the other is a Hardy Hibiscus which I have. They are funny in the Spring you think they are dead and much much later on they start to sprout and they start to flower in late July or August and will continue flowering until the frost.

Ugh, It's 1pm here and I haven't had breakfast yet, I'd better run. Pete took his Mom into town so I'd better be showered and dressed before they come back, don't want her to think I lounge on the puter all day, lol, ;)

    Hi everyone.

Only have a couple of minutes to post, then have to get to work on the grocery list for and if I get my car back today. Wayne said no, they are not fixing it, it is in line and it may be a few days since they are super busy this week. For whatever reason.

He is going to locate the dolly so we can transport books OUT OF THE SUN ROOM! Hooray - it is going to be its old self again. Soon!
