Good luck with that weather. It's going to get worse. Rained all night here but I think it's going to get better.

ISP tech came out yesterday, fortunately for him in between storms, and installed the hardware so I can stay on-line with you good people at GR. Have a new 2yr contract so I'll be menacing more recipes with my critiques for a while longer. Hopefully I'll get some more bread type recipes posted too. I'm off the dial-up modem and onto a higher speed communication port. New I was going to like it and it is living up to my expectations so far.

Eying a potato tzimmes recipe today. It's got carrots, sweet taters, white taters, prunes, and spices.

Y'all be safe with that storm bearing down.

    Premature submitting again!

No cooking for me tonite. We had decided that tonite was the best nite for us to do Toys R Us, (I mean, who wants to do that on a weekend at Christmas time? Talk about mob scenes...lol) and I just saw a commercial that they are having 1 day only sale, 7 am to midnite, TODAY! LOLLOLLOL We are gonna be in the mob anyway! Tis the season! I just wonder how many more times they will have "1 day only" sales? Doncha just love it?

Probably stop for a sandwich somewhere on the way. We did Nixon's Deli last time we went Christmas Shopping. Maybe I can talk him into Sam & Andy's for a VOL burger! ; )

Everyone be careful in that weather! That storm system is pounding everyone. Looks like our wind and rain moved on out, too. Fingers crossed....

It's just cold here. Very, very cold. Minimal snow flurries that are just about over. Just cold. The fireplace is trying its hardest but is barely making a dent in the chill.

Roasting a chicken tonight. Maybe some fried taters to go with.

    Stay warm everyone!

Not so sure about that wind moving out, Sparow---boy it's pounding the heck out of us today!! I know the wind gusts HAVE to be somewhere around 40-45 mph out there--it's crazy!!

Yesterday's baking was Russian tea cakes--already in freezer nice & cozy. Today is going to be Rice Krispie cookies, and buckeyes. Yuuum!

I've had some pre-seasoned salmon filets in the freezer now for a couple months (vaccuum packed) so it's those, caper laced scallops and probably rice to go with.

    Sheeeeesh, this wind!

Another one of those days where things just don't go as I had planned. Chase, chase, chase. Just got done with a 3 hour service call to install Good Messaging Server. I now have a short break and then I have 3 hours to complete the employee reviews.

Yeah I know.. gripe, gripe, gripe. Oh well stuff gets done or it doesnt. I'm just winded trying to keep up.

I think Mr. SuchAFuss is in charge of dinner tonight and I'm guessing he is going to want to make hamburgers. Last night he had a large package of ground beef out but then Mom sent over some of her Chili Rellenos casserole for dinner. I do love that so.

    What's on your stove tonight?

Well it's not snow or rainy here - just bitter cold. 18 degrees this morning. Sun is out and from inside the building it looks absolutely beautiful. Wanted to crawl back in bed this morning - but that doesn't pay the bills so off to work I go! The storm is really hitting you in the Midwest and Eastern Coast. Be careful and try to stay warm!
We're having rotisserie chicken tonight too Pat with mashed potatoes and greens.
That's it for now! Have a good day everyone.

Snowed all morning and now it's turning to rain.....Had a doctor's appointment this morning so I had to go out in it....Go some disturbing news... Then I get home and there's a guy in a front end loader plowing the lot....asks Les to move our Jeep...He moves it and the guy backs into it and shattered the back driver's door window with the hook thing on the back end of the loader.......A foot over and he would have hit the driver's door window and Les.

    Leftovers for supper.

I'm speechless over the incompetence of the heavy equipment operator. That hook thingy is a back hoe on the back of the front end loader.

Hey all! Been busy all day helping Brad clean out the basement remodel crap. Back's killing me... Luckily I had some ground beef enchilada sauce in the freezer and that's what we had for dinner.... cheesy beef enchiladas.
That's really something, Wynne! Glad Les wasn't hurt!
Colder than a well diggers butt here all week! Never got over 28 here today! Keep warm all! I'm gonna sip my cosmo and will the pain away............

Ah Wynne.. hugs honey. Will this cursed year never end. I'm so glad its only stuff that got hurt not family. But I know the aggrevation will take a pound of flesh with it as you move through getting things right.

The year is almost over everyone. Hang in there. Consider not leaving the house for a month or so.
