Growing up, my mother used to call this poor man's steaks. My hubby changed the name to Ghetto Steaks. Either way they are tasty.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp Montreal Steak Spice
  • 1tsp worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1tsp sesame oil
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • 3 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • Additional BBQ sauce - optional
  • horseradish - optional

Directions
  1. Mix ground beef, steak spice, worcestershire and bread crumbs. Form into 6 patties and brown the outside.
  2. Meanwhile Add oils & butter to a pot on med-low heat. When butter is melted add flour and cook for about 1 minute.
  3. Add stock & BBQ sauce.
  4. Simmer until thickened slightly.
  5. Put browned patties in the bottom of a 9 x 13 in baking pan, top with BBQ gravy.
  6. Bake at 350F for 15 minutes covered.
  7. Remove lid and cook for another 15 minutes uncovered.
  8. Top with additional BBQ sauce & horseradish if desired
