Brownie Sugar Cake

- 2 cups brown sugar shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1 stick butter or margarine melted shopping list
- 4 heaping Tbs. of baking cocoa shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 1/2 cup oil shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 cup buttermilk shopping list
How to make it
- Stir together the sugar and flour with cinnamon and baking powder in a large bowl and set aside.
- In a sauce pot add the melted butter or margarine , baking cocoa, oil and water and cook over medium heat and stir and bring to a full boil.
- Immediately remove from heat and pour over dry ingredients and beat on low speed to mix well.
- Add eggs, vanilla and buttermilk and mix well with mixer.
- Pour into a well greased large fluted bundt pan.
- Batter may be thin
- Bake 325F about 50 to 60 minutes OR until top springs back and cake tester comes out with moist crumbs.
- Do not overbake
- Let cool in pan 15 minutes and invert and remove.
- Let cool completely.
- Chill covered overnight before serving to blend falvors
- Sprinkle with powder sugar if desired.
- Freezes well.
- Note. if desired one may pour a chocolate icing over the cooled cake if desired.
