Apple Pie Filling

- 4 Braeburn apples (about 1.5 lbs) shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 2 Tbsp butter shopping list
- 3 Tbsp flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (220°C)
- Combine the sugar, flour, salt and cinnamon in a large bowl
- Peel, core and slice the apples thinly.
- Add to the sugar mixture and combine thoroughly.
- Roll out the dough and place in pie pan. Add the apples and put the butter in small pieces on the apples.
- Roll out the top crust and place on the apples. Make a few slits to let the steam escape.
- Cover the edge of the pie with aluminum foil to prevent it from browning too fast and remove after 40 minutes.
- Let the pie bake another 10 minutes until the filling is bubbling and it has a nice color.
- Remove from oven and let cool at least a half hour before serving.
