  • GATHER THE LEFTOVER VEGGIES FROM DINNER LAST NIGHT.
  • THROW IN FOOD PROCESSOR & PULSE. THE DESIRED RESULT IS CHOPPED OT PURED.
  • GO INTO YOUR VEGGIE DRAWER IN YOUR FRIG. & PULL OUT THE TIRED VEGIES.
  • REMOVE ANY PARTS THAT ARE TOO RIPE, THE STEMS, SEEDS & ROOTS & WASH.
  • CUT INTO LARGE PIECES, PUT IN FOOD PROCESSOR & PULSE FOR MEDIUM SIZED PIECES & DUMP INTO LEFTOVER BOWL OF CHOPPED VEGGIES.
  • IF YOU HAVE A GARDEN, GRAB THE OVERSIZED AND/OR THE CHARLIE BROWN VEGIES.
  • WASH & CUT OFF/OUT THE PARTS THAT ARE BEGINNING TO ROT & STEMS, SEEDS & ROOTS.
  • REPEAT PREVIOUS STEP & DUMP THESE INTO BOWL CONTAINING OTHER VEGGIES.
  • MIX & ADD 2 TEASPOONS SEA SALT, 1-2 TEASPOONS FRESH PEPPER, 2 TEASPOONS GARLIC POWDER, 2 TEASPOONS ONION POWDER & BASIL OR TARRAGON.
  • MIX UP PANCAKE BATTER.
  • I USE 1/2 CUP VEGGIES TO ABOUT 1/4 TO 1/3 CUP BATTER

Directions
  1. ON A HOT GRILL OR FRYING PAN, POUR A LITTLE GHEE OR OLIVE OIL SO THE INGREDIENTS DON'T STICK.
  2. PUT 1/2 CUP MIXED VEGGIES IN MOUNDS & GIVE THEM A QUICK TOSS SO THEY GET WARM.
  3. SINCE YOU SEASONED THEM IN THE BOWL YOU DON'T NEED TO SEASON THEM NOW.
  4. THE ONLY THING EXRRA I PUT ON MY VEGGIES IS SESAME SEEDS.
  5. BY HEATING THE VEGGIES QUICKLY LIKE THIS, IT HELPS THE PANCAKE BATTER STICK TO THEM MORE EASILY.
  6. I WARM VEGGIES FOR ABOUT 1-2 MIUTES ON GRILL.
  7. THEN USE A PRE MEASURED 1/4 TO 1/3RD CONTAINER FOR BATTER.
  8. START WITH 1/4TH OF A CUP OF BATTER, POURING IT OVER WARMED VEGGIES.
  9. THE BATTER IS WHAT BINDS THE VEGGIE BURGER TOGETHER SO MAKE 1 OR 2 TEST VEGGIE BURGERS TO FIND THE RATIO THAT WORKS FOR YOU.
  10. JUST LIKE PANCAKES, THE BATTER WILL HAVE BUBBLES THAT POP ON THE TOP SIDE WHICH IS WHEN YOU NEED TO TURN THEM OVER.
  11. I USUALLY COOK EACH SIDE FOR ABOUT 2- MINUTES.
  12. YOU WILL FIGURE OUT WHAT WORKS FOR YOU.
  13. MY STANDARD IS ABOUT 1/2 CUP VEGGIES, ABOUT 1 TABLESPOON OF SESAME SEEDS & THEN ABOUT 1/4 CUP OF BATTER.
  14. LET EACH COOK, WITH BATTER FOR 2 TO 4 MINUTES & TURN BURGER OVER WHEN THE BATTER BUBBLES ON THE EXPOSED SIDE.
  15. SOMETIMES I PUT CHEESE ON THEM & SOMETIMES I DON'T. I MELT THE CHEESE UNDER THE BROILER.
  16. YOU CAN EAT THEM PLAIN OR SERVE ON A ROLL OR EGLIS MFFIN WITH LETTUCE, TOMATO & PICKLE.
  17. SORRY I GOT PULLED AWAY HALF WAY THROUGH ENTERING THIS. BUT LIFE DOESN'T STOP, EVEN WHEN YOU WANT TO SHARE SOMETHING GOOD WITH YOUR FRIENDS.

Do I ever like your version of a veggie burger. This is awesome and I agree with you when it comes to those overpriced items sold in Health Food Stores. They are absolutely outrageous. My oldest daughter is an on again off again vegetarian and she is going to love this recipe. HIGH 5+++ ;)
P.S. Most store bought veggie burgers have absolutely no taste, too much filler and the filler is certainly not of the vegetable variety and are way overpriced.


As I seen the title for this.I was like "WHAT" and as I clicked on this and thought to myself. Hmmm... and thought this is very intersteading recipe.Yeah I agree with you there on what you had said.
