- GATHER THE LEFTOVER VEGGIES FROM DINNER LAST NIGHT. shopping list
- THROW IN FOOD PROCESSOR & PULSE. THE DESIRED RESULT IS CHOPPED OT PURED. shopping list
- GO INTO YOUR VEGGIE DRAWER IN YOUR FRIG. & PULL OUT THE TIRED VEGIES. shopping list
- REMOVE ANY PARTS THAT ARE TOO RIPE, THE STEMS, SEEDS & ROOTS & WASH. shopping list
- CUT INTO LARGE PIECES, PUT IN FOOD PROCESSOR & PULSE FOR MEDIUM SIZED PIECES & DUMP INTO LEFTOVER BOWL OF CHOPPED VEGGIES. shopping list
- IF YOU HAVE A GARDEN, GRAB THE OVERSIZED AND/OR THE CHARLIE BROWN VEGIES. shopping list
- WASH & CUT OFF/OUT THE PARTS THAT ARE BEGINNING TO ROT & STEMS, SEEDS & ROOTS. shopping list
- REPEAT PREVIOUS STEP & DUMP THESE INTO BOWL CONTAINING OTHER VEGGIES. shopping list
- MIX & ADD 2 TEASPOONS sea salt, 1-2 TEASPOONS fresh pepper, 2 TEASPOONS garlic powder, 2 TEASPOONS onion powder & basil OR tarragon. shopping list
- MIX UP PANCAKE BATTER. shopping list
- I USE 1/2 CUP VEGGIES TO ABOUT 1/4 TO 1/3 CUP BATTER shopping list
How to make it
- ON A HOT GRILL OR FRYING PAN, POUR A LITTLE GHEE OR OLIVE OIL SO THE INGREDIENTS DON'T STICK.
- PUT 1/2 CUP MIXED VEGGIES IN MOUNDS & GIVE THEM A QUICK TOSS SO THEY GET WARM.
- SINCE YOU SEASONED THEM IN THE BOWL YOU DON'T NEED TO SEASON THEM NOW.
- THE ONLY THING EXRRA I PUT ON MY VEGGIES IS SESAME SEEDS.
- BY HEATING THE VEGGIES QUICKLY LIKE THIS, IT HELPS THE PANCAKE BATTER STICK TO THEM MORE EASILY.
- I WARM VEGGIES FOR ABOUT 1-2 MIUTES ON GRILL.
- THEN USE A PRE MEASURED 1/4 TO 1/3RD CONTAINER FOR BATTER.
- START WITH 1/4TH OF A CUP OF BATTER, POURING IT OVER WARMED VEGGIES.
- THE BATTER IS WHAT BINDS THE VEGGIE BURGER TOGETHER SO MAKE 1 OR 2 TEST VEGGIE BURGERS TO FIND THE RATIO THAT WORKS FOR YOU.
- JUST LIKE PANCAKES, THE BATTER WILL HAVE BUBBLES THAT POP ON THE TOP SIDE WHICH IS WHEN YOU NEED TO TURN THEM OVER.
- I USUALLY COOK EACH SIDE FOR ABOUT 2- MINUTES.
- YOU WILL FIGURE OUT WHAT WORKS FOR YOU.
- MY STANDARD IS ABOUT 1/2 CUP VEGGIES, ABOUT 1 TABLESPOON OF SESAME SEEDS & THEN ABOUT 1/4 CUP OF BATTER.
- LET EACH COOK, WITH BATTER FOR 2 TO 4 MINUTES & TURN BURGER OVER WHEN THE BATTER BUBBLES ON THE EXPOSED SIDE.
- SOMETIMES I PUT CHEESE ON THEM & SOMETIMES I DON'T. I MELT THE CHEESE UNDER THE BROILER.
- YOU CAN EAT THEM PLAIN OR SERVE ON A ROLL OR EGLIS MFFIN WITH LETTUCE, TOMATO & PICKLE.
- SORRY I GOT PULLED AWAY HALF WAY THROUGH ENTERING THIS. BUT LIFE DOESN'T STOP, EVEN WHEN YOU WANT TO SHARE SOMETHING GOOD WITH YOUR FRIENDS.
- SORRY FRIENDS & HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEKEND.
- OH YES. THESE TASTE EVEN BETTER IF YOU SHARE THEM WITH SOMEONE YOU CARE ABOUT
