How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13 baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, beat together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Blend in cream style corn, chiles, Monterey Jack and cheddar cheeses.
  • In a separate bowl, stir together flour, cornmeal, baking powder and salt. Add flour mixture to corn mixture; stir until smooth. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  • Bake in peheated overn for 1 hour, until a toothpick inserted into center of the pan comes out clean.

    Oh my goodness! This cornbread was the stellar addition to the dinner I prepared for my boyfriend and I. DELUCTABLE, TRUELY DELIGHTFUL! Half of the cornbread disappeared within a few hours. I'm not a cheese person and he doesn't care for spicy foods...so I chose to eliminate the cheese and peppers. Anyhow, I'm a true fan of this recipe!
