Nothings is what we used to call these meringues as children because of the way they melt in your mouth and are practicaly made of mothing! these are better than store bought!

Ingredients
  • 2 egg whites
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1- 6 oz pckg chocolate chips

Directions
  1. beat the egg whites until stiff
  2. add sugar, vanilla and salt
  3. beat until peaks form
  4. gently fold in the chocolate chips
  5. drop by the teaspoonful on a lightly greased baking sheet
  6. put 1 chocolate chip on top of each cookie
  7. bake at 300 for 20-25 minutes
  8. ** be very careful to not allow any of the yolk in with the whites, or else peaks will not form and it will coome out spongy instead

Drop them by tablespoons. No way in the big cookie sheet in the sky can you only make 12 cookies doing it with a teaspoon.

They are light and delicious. Watch for them to just start turning color on the edges; pull from oven and cool on cookie sheet on a wire rack for 5 minutes. Remove cookies from cookie sheet and onto wire rack to completely cool.
