How to make it

  • Before starting, lay out a couple sheets of waxed paper to drop the candy on.
  • Combine the sugar, butter, milk, cocoa, salt & vanilla.
  • Cook and stir until it comes to a complete boil.
  • Stir in the oatmeal and remove pan from stovetop.
  • Stir in the coconut.
  • Cool 5 to 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
  • Drop by tablespoon size onto waxed paper
  • Store in an air tight container

    Those are good. I have never made ones with coconut. I have even made peanut butter flavored ones and omitted the chocolate. They don't last long. I end up eating way too many. Trying to stay away from goodies to lose some weight.
