Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a pot brown sausage or bacon and slice into bite size pieces. Save drippings.
  • Add onions, garlic, spring onions and white wine vinegar.
  • Add cabbage and seasoning, spices, herbs and sugar.
  • Lower heat when cabbage begins to wilt. Do not let the cabbage liquid dry up completely. If it does add a little butter.
  • Serve with pork chops, roast, etc.

Cabbage is one of the things I CAN eat! I'm allergic to lettuce, cukes, and garlic! I'll have to leave it out..darn! When I make a salad I use baby spinach, arugula, and shredded Napa cabbage. My husband loves cabbage, too, but not the spicy, hot kind so I can have it all to myself! This recipe is similar to one I make quite often, but will try it and may like this one even better!

The different flavors blend very well and the "heat" comes from the sausage and creole seasoning...of course you can spice it up with red crushed chiles to your taste...enjoy!
