Marbled Raspberry Coffeecake Recipe

Ingredients

2 cups flour

1 cup sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

6 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup margarine, softened

1/2 cup milk

2 teaspoons grated lemon peel

1/2 cup fruit preserves (raspberry, peach, etc.)

FROSTING

1 cup powdered sugar

11/2 tablespoons lemon juice

4 teaspoons margarine, softened

2 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup chopped or slivered almonds

Directions

Preheat oven to 350.

Grease and flour a 9x13 pan.

Mix all ingredients for coffeecake, except preserves.

Blend at low till moistened. 2 min at medium.

Spread in pan.

spoon in preserves.

Use knife to swirl and give marbled effect.

Bake for 25-35min.

Cool 15-20 min.

Combine frosting, except for nuts.

Frost when cool, then sprinkle with nuts.
