Wow what a great recipe for sure. I used bone in but skinless chicken legs and breasts. I did as another review had done brushed the chicken with melted butter first then dipped in a flour combo of smoked paprika, onion powder, garlic powder and black pepper. Great flavour and the chicken was very tender. Will be making again.

This is the best fried chicken I’ve ever made and to think it’s baked. Who would have believed it?! I followed the recommendation of other reviewers and added garlic powder along with onion powder. Also doubled the amount of black pepper. I brushed the chicken with the butter first and then coated with flour. Followed the tip about starting the chicken skin side down and turning at the half way point. Hubby even said this was excellent and he’s not one to get excited about fried chicken.

Really good! I hate to argue with Betty but this could use some garlic powder. I used thighs and cooked them for 50 minutes. Thread in IMI Oven Fried Chicken

This is the best oven baked/fried chicken recipe ever! Just add some Tillamook award winning medium chedar cheese to it before eating.

I agree with RJ. Even though B. Crocker calls this "fried," our family always called it "baked" chicken. At least I did, anyway. How well it turns out hinges on the quality of the chicken used. It's yummy, especially with a Wisconsin Russet baked along side.

I like chicken done this way and do it often but it just ain't "fried" chicken. I know everyone calls it that but they lie. I add a bit of this and that spice to the flour, based on mood, but this recipe works really well. Thanks. RJ

    Hi
Thanks for the recipe.I like the idea of oven-fried chicken and
also that you used the chicken breasts, which is what I will use
when I get around to trying this.
    Sounds good to me.
I will probably add some garlic powder and some other dried herbs to the flour.
