Sour Cream Mushroom Steak Sauce

From the time I was little, much to the chagrin of my big brothers, I've always liked to dip a corner of a bite of steak into the sour cream on the baked potato that usually accompanied it. Especially when the steak was hot, and it melted a wee bit. Read more ..with this sauce, they no longer roll their eyes...they 'get' it! See less
Ingredients
- 1lb small fresh mushrooms(whites or baby bellas), quartered shopping list
- 1/4 cup sour cream shopping list
- 1/2 stick butter shopping list
- 1T worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 3T fresh parsley, chopped shopping list
- kosher or sea salt and fresh ground pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Add mushrooms and butter to medium, heavy saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring often until butter is melted and mushrooms are medium brown.
- Add Worcestershire sauce and parsley and stir to combine. See Photo
- Add sour cream and salt and pepper, if needed. Stir well and keep on very low heat until ready to serve.

Made this last night for the Band and their wives. It was gone before I could grab the camera for a pic. I did not have fresh parsley, so I had to use dried, which is not the same, but it worked. Absolutely delicious!!
