How to make it
- Using an electric mixer, blend the eggs, oil, water and milk. Stir the flour together with the salt and the baking powder in a dry bowl. Blend this mixture into the liquid. Mix well and set aside for a moment.
- Bring 4 quarts of salted water to a boil. Using a Spaetzle maker, use about 1/3 of the dough and drop it into the top of the Spaetzle maker. Slide Spaetzle maker back and forth over the gently boiling water until dough drops in. When 'dumplings/spaetzle' float to the top of the surface, they are cooked. Finish all of your dough through the Spaetzle maker. Remove the dumplings from the saucepan with a slotted spoon and place in Casserole dish. They can be served this way with Gravy or with butter and parmesan cheese mixed in. Yum!
