Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9x13 baking dish or spray with cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, combine butter and sugar, mixing well. Mix in beaten eggs. Stir in pumpkin.
  • In a medium bowl, combine flour, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.
  • Add dry ingredients to wet, stirring until just combined. Stir in pecans.
  • Bake in preheated oven 28-32 minutes, until edges are lightly brown and center is set, (it may look moist, but is not sticky when touched.)
  • Cool completely.
  • Beat cream cheese and butter together. Beat in powdered sugar and vanilla.

    Wow! These were fantastic....I could hardly wait to frost them to bite into one. These dense, moist and full of flavor as she described. I also cut this recipe in half and cooked in an 8x8 glass pan for about 30 minutes. Used my own spice version, 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves, ginger, nutmeg and allspice. Followed the cinnamon directions. Thanks Pam for these delicious brownies!!

    Gourmetana - I used puree from roasted sugar pumpkin that I'd frozen a week or so earlier. Canned would work just as well!

    Thank you so much for this post! I am making it next Saturday. I have a bag of pecans I bought at a gourmet store. It is the only place we find them in my country. I was looking for a recipe that caught my eye and here it is!

    I just posted a question on AR asking how to use up some pumpkin puree and this is going to be it. These look awesome! I will have to leave out the pecans though because no one in my house will eat any sort of nuts besides me....
