Toad in the hole

My mom used to make this for me when I was a kid. She called the egg in the center of the bread "a toad in the hole"
Ingredients
- 1 slice bread shopping list
- 1/2 Tbs butter shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- salt shopping list
- pepper shopping list
How to make it
- cut a round circle from the center of the bread; set aside
- In a small pan, melt buttter and place bread in pan
- crack egg in the center of the bread
- sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste
- cook on medium heat, turing over at desired doneness
