This is a close recipe to what my Grand Ma used to make, She called it Pot Pie. Also wonderful with a beef roast.

I haven't tried THIS recipe before, but have tried making chicken and dumplings twice before using two different recipes. I had trouble both times with the dumplings falling apart. What's the secret to keeping their shape and cooking all the way through?

Just to add to my comment: I've looked over many recipes for Chicken and Dumplings, and the methods for cooking the dumplings all vary. Some say cook on low, some say cook on high. And the pot is either covered or uncovered. Help!

I make mine uncovered. Hope that helps.

We made the chicken & dumplings tonight, and it was awesome. First time EVER making it, your recipe was easy to follow, and delicious! Thanks again, Shea

I just just use the recipe on the box of bisquick it is the best ever. make sure you dip your spoon in the broth each time you put a dumpling in there. nonnie36
