Great way to make your own vanilla extract. I have tried this and it is very good. Smells great too.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups vodka
  • 5 vanilla beans cut in 1" pieces

Directions
  1. Combine vodka and vanilla beans in a jar with a tight fitting lid.
  2. Cover the jar and let it stand 8 weeks.
  3. After half the vanilla extract is used add more vodka to cover the beans.
