Pizza Casserole

A saucy, spicy, cheesy dish, perfect with a salad and garlic bread.
Ingredients
- 1- lb ground beef shopping list
- 1- 8oz box elbow macaroni shopping list
- 1- 16oz can tomato sauce shopping list
- 1- 2cup pkg mozzarella cheese shopping list
- 1cup chopped green pepper shopping list
- 1cup chopped onion shopping list
- 1 tsp oregano shopping list
- 1 tsp garlic salt shopping list
- 1 tsp basil shopping list
- 1 egg, slightly beaten shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- pepperoni or italian sausage (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Brown ground beef with onion and green pepper, until veggies are tender. Drain well. Stir in tomato sauce and add oregano, garlic salt and basil. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes. Meanwhile, boil macaroni for 10 minutes, or until tender. Drain and pour into mixing bowl. Pour milk into a small bowl with the beaten egg and combine. Pour mixture over macaroni and coat well. Pour macaroni mixture into greased 9x13 casserole dish. Pour simmered meat mixture over macaroni. Top with mozzarella. Bake @ 350 degrees for 20 minutes, or until cheese is a golden brown.

I couldn't find my usual Pizza Casserole recipe and am glad I came across this on - it was great! Good flavor and easy & straightforward recipe. Perfect for a "chef in training" (my son). It was a big hit for dinner - great recipe!!
