How to make it

  • For Marinade

  • Combine all ingredients in large bowl and whisk or stir well, to combine. See Photo
  • Add beef pieces and toss to coat, well.
  • Let marinate at least 24 hours, up to 48 See Photo
  • To Prepare

  • In hot, lightly oiled, heavy skillet or stir fry pan(I used cast iron), add meat and stir fry until done, about 3-5 minutes, is all.
  • Remove meat from pan and set aside.
  • Add beef stock to skillet to deglaze pan.
  • Immediately add left over marinade to skillet and let simmer to reduce to a slightly thickened sauce, about 5 minutes.
  • Pour into serving pitcher or individual small bowls.
  • In same pan, add cooked rice, garlic and green onions.
  • Stir well and cook until lightly coated with remaining sauce and warmed through.
  • Set aside and keep warm.
  • In another pan, fry eggs, preferably sunny side up, in butter.
  • Season with salt and pepper.
  • To Serve

  • Plate rice, top with meat, then top that with 1-2 fried eggs.
  • Serve with the reduced marinade.
