Kahlua Swirl Cake

- cake shopping list
- 2 cups of sifted all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 3/4 tsp of baking soda shopping list
- 3/4 tsp of salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp of mace shopping list
- 1/2 cup of butter softened shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups of granulated sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 1 tsp of vanilla shopping list
- 3/4 cup of sour cream shopping list
- 3/4 cup of Kahlua shopping list
- Streusel shopping list
- 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup of chopped pecans shopping list
- 1/4 tsp each of cinnamon and mace shopping list
- glaze shopping list
- 3/4 cup of sifted confectioner's sugar shopping list
- 2 tbsp of softened butter shopping list
- 1 1/2 tbsp. of Kahlua shopping list
How to make it
- Grease and flour a 9 inch fluted tube pan.
- Prepare struesel filling by mixing the ingredients together, reserve.
- Phreheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Sift together the flour and the dry ingredients, including the mace.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter sugar and eggs with the vanilla.
- Beat for two minutes on medium speed with an electric mixer, mixture may look curdled at this point.
- On lowest speed blend in flour alternately with the sourcream and Kahlua. Turn 1/3 of the batter into the pan.
- Top with half the struesel mixture.
- Top with 1/3 of the batter.
- Top with remaining struesel mixture. End with remaining batter on top.
- bake in oven on the lower rack for 45 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove and let stand 10 minutes.
- Invert on a cake rack and cool til lukewarm.
- remove pan.
- combine all ingredients for the glaze and beat til smooth
- Spoon over cooled cake.
