Sweet And Sour Pork

- 1 1/2 lb. pork, cut into 1 inch pieces (I used center cut boneless pork chops) shopping list
- marinade shopping list
- 1 1/4 cups water shopping list
- 1/4 cup + 2 tbls. corn starch shopping list
- 2 tbls. soy sauce shopping list
- 2 tbls. oil to fry shopping list
- 1 small onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 small green pepper, chopped shopping list
- 1 carrot, cut on diagonal shopping list
- 4 oz. pineapple chunks, drained but save juice shopping list
- sweet and sour sauce shopping list
- pineapple juice from can shopping list
- 1/4 cup ketchup shopping list
- 1/4 cup vinegar shopping list
- 1/4 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 tbls. cornstarch shopping list
- 1 tbls. worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. mustard powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. ground ginger shopping list
How to make it
- In mixing bowl, add 1 1/4 cups water, 1/4 cup plus 2 tbls. corn starch and 2 tbls. soy sauce and whisk to combine
- Add pork and marinate 20-30 minutes
- In saucepan over medium high heat, add all sweet and sour sauce ingredients
- Cook, stirring continuously, until sauce comes together and thickens (I didn't keep track of how long this took but it wasn't very long)
- Add oil to large skillet over medium high heat
- With slotted spoon remove pork from marinade and add to skillet
- Stirring frequently, fry pork until golden brown
- Remove from skillet
- Add veggies and fry until tender crisp
- Add pork, pineapple chunk and sauce; stir to combine
- Heat until pork warms through
