A wonderful, thick and flavourful jam for Challah over Chanukah, or if you're my family, Challah on Christmas morning!

Ingredients
  • 2 cups finely chopped dried figs
  • 2 navel oranges, finely chopped
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1 cup sweet red wine
  • 1 cup honey
  • 2 cinnamon sticks

Directions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
  2. Simmer, stirring occasionally until mixture is thick and jam-like, about 20 minutes.
  3. Remove cinnamon sticks.
  4. Cool and store in refrigerator.

Very yummy. I made this last night. My only problem is that I didn't chop the figs finely enough. So there's fig skins in the jam. Next time I make this, I think I'll be throwing all the figs in a blender.
