Ingredients

How to make it

  • Pop corn in a hot-air popper (do not use oil, it will be too greasy)
  • Measure popcorn in a large bowl, removing any unpopped kernels.
  • In a small saucepan, combine butter, corn syrup and sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Cook over medium heat 1 minute, continuing to stir gently.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
  • Pour syrup and sprinkle salt over popcorn, stirring to coat popcorn evenly.
  • Let cool slightly before enjoying!

I'm not sure why my posts aren't coming up but I will try again. I made this but found it a bit soggy, so after it was made I put it in a low oven (275 F) for about 45 minutes to an hour stirring every 15 minutes, be careful not to burn it, this little tweak made the difference. the taste and texture was exactly like the kettle corn you get at fairs and events. Thanks so much for the wonderful recipe.
