Luscious Moist Apple Cake

- Filling: shopping list
- 4 large apples peeled and thinly sliced shopping list
- 2 Tbs white granulated . sugar shopping list
- 2 Tbs cinnamon shopping list
- Cake: shopping list
- 1 cup oil shopping list
- 4 large eggs shopping list
- 1/4 cup apple juice shopping list
- 1 Tbs vanilla shopping list
- 3 cups flour shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups white granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 Tbs baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- Glaze: optional: I used powdered sugar, butter and apple juice shopping list
- Chopped nuts: optional shopping list
How to make it
- Toss apples with sugar and cinnamon and set aside
- Combine eggs, oil and vanilla and juice
- Combine flour, salt, sugar and baking powder
- Beat both mixtures together ( batter will be thick)
- Fold in nuts if using
- Drain apples and stir if any liquid into batter, set apples aside
- Grease and flour a bundt pan well or 2 loaf pans
- Place in this order into pan or pans:
- 1/3 batter
- 1/2 of the apples evenly placed
- 1/3 batter
- 1/2 of apples
- 1/3 of batter
- Bake in a 375 oven 60-70 minutes or until tested done in center
- Loaf pans will require less baking time
- Cool 15 minutes in pan
- Remove and let cool
- Glaze as desired
- Note: freezes well, taste better as it ages.
- Refrigerate leftovers
