Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine all ingredients in an extra large zipper bag and squish around to combine.
  • Let rest in fridge for at least 4 hours, over night is better, turning a few times.
  • Let rest outside of fridge about 30 minutes while preparing grill.
  • Prepare wood chips to add to the grill. Try apple, cherry, etc. :)
  • Grill over medium high heat until temp is 165 at the thickest part.

    I baked it in the oven as it was raining outside and it was delicious! I can't wait until next Spring to try this when Vidalia's are in season again. All I can say is YUM! YUM! YUM!

    The minute I saw this I wanted to make it. I had six boneless, skinless thighs so I cut the marinade ingredients in half. I put these in in the morning, so they were in the refrigerator for about six hours. Some of the onion pieces stuck to the thighs so there was this little bit of onion flavor mixed in with a slight lemon and then the smokiness. I loved this! Served them with garlic mashed potatoes and the two were perfect together. I added a picture and a thread in IMI.
