So named for a popular flower in this dishes’ location of invention, as well as the site of some of the most incredible tasting peaches in the world: Georgia!

Ingredients
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breasts
  • ¼ cup white rice flour
  • ¼ cup vegetable or peanut oil
  • 2/3 cup pulpy orange juice
  • 2 large peaches, peeled and sliced

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2. Dredge chicken in flour, shake off excess.
  3. Place chicken in a casserole dish large enough for chicken plus a layer of peach slices, but do not add the peaches.
  4. Heat orange juice and oil until very warm, pour over chicken.
  5. Bake 30 minutes, basting twice.
  6. Place peach slices around chicken and baste bird again.
  7. Bake 20 minutes longer, basting two to three times over both chicken and peaches.
  8. Serve over hot rice pilaf and steamed vegetables.

I love fruit with main courses especially chicken so i hope get to make this or we make it together some time maybe new years eve


This does sound good, and I tried it but wasn't overly enthused. That was likely due to me somehow or other. I had a very tart flavor result versus the sweetness I expected. This was only my first try, so we shall see.


I made this last night..hmm? Missing something. Mine was very bland. Maybe some spices on the chicken? I thought about thyme, cinnamon, ginger or even some rosemary. Those spice all combine and compliment the chicken and the peaches. I will try again and update you.
