Ingredients

How to make it

  • Melt together chocolate and peanut butter; stir in peanuts and spread half of mixture into a 9x13 inch pan reserving the rest for later.
  • In very heavy saucepan combine condensed milk, marshmallows and butter. Bring to a boil carefully (scorches easily), and boil for 5 minutes, watching closely.
  • Add cherry extract and cherry chips; stir to melt the chips and then stir in cherries. Spread over chocolate in pan, then top with remaining mixture.
  • Chill to set but remove from fridge before serving.

I used to buy Bing candy bars back in the late 60's and early 70's as a young girl when I went to the movies. I just happened to remember about the candy bar tonight and decided to look them up online to see if they still existed. To my utter delight I found your recipe. Thank you for sharing!

Orginally from Michigan, this candy bar was a treat when going to see family in Iowa. My Grandma made this confection for Christmas. I can't wait to try this, but I will omit the cherries. Just trying to find something close to what my Grandmother use to make.

The Twin Bing Bar is only made in Sioux City Iowa but they do ship them worldwide. THey are awesome! They are made here at a plant called Palmer Candy Company if you want to try one...look it up online. THis recipe is similar to the real candy bar. I do not use the cherries or juice, but I bet just adds some more redness and flavor. Yummo!

    Hi ,

I've never had a bing bar but this recipe sounds so good. I agree with Marie, invisible chef though, is coconut milk ok to replace condensed milk as I'm also not a fan .. Thanks for a great post.

Oh yeah, I have to make these - that's a new candy bar to me, too, but the recipe sounds like a great combination of flavors, and those cherry chips/maraschinos would add some nice holiday color to it!
