Hungarian Cha Cha Recipe
This pickiling has been in my family for awhile and it is sooo refreshing to have as a side to your dinners, especially if you like pickles and such......this has alittle of almost everything....enjoy

Ingredients
  • 4 cups yellow bell peppers
  • 4 cups cucumbers sliced
  • 4 cups onions sliced
  • 4 cups cauliflour cut up
  • 4 cups cabbage shredded
  • 3 1/2 cups vinegar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 4 tablespoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon alum
  • or you can use any vegetable you want , green tomatoes work well too and okra whole and pierced.

Directions
  1. mix all of the above and let sit for 24 hours.
  2. Then put into canning jars.
  3. store in a cool dry place or in the fridge.

This is also really fun to make with the kids...it sorta gives them a sense of responsibility and also eating the vegies they like....except pickled.

Haven't met anything yet that I haven't loved pickled. Yum. Especially like the inclusion of cauliflower.


This recipes sounds good and easy to make...the kids and I will have to make this one.
