Chili Mac
From pkusmc 8 years agoIngredients
- 2 lbs ground chuck shopping list
- 2 cans red kidney beans shopping list
- 1 - 28 oz can diced tomatoes shopping list
- 1 large red onion, chopped shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic, diced shopping list
- 2 packages McCormick Taco Seasoning (1 per pound of meat) I actually use on of these and one McCormicks Chipotle Taco mix. Works all the same shopping list
- 2 cups beef stock shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- Pinch (or two) crushed red pepper flakes shopping list
- 1 box pasta of choice, cooked per the instructions on the box shopping list
How to make it
- Brown the beef and drain the fat
- While the meat is browning place the cans of beans in a pan and simmer for ten minutes
- Add the packets of McCormicks Taco Seasoning to the beef and stir in with the beef stock
- Strain the beans and add to the meat
- Add the remaining ingredients and lower heat
- Cook on low partially covered for about 30 minutes
- Add to cooked pasta and it's ready to go
- I usually put some shredded cheddar on top and cook it in the oven for about 20 minutes or so...gives it that day-old texture. Not necessary, though.
- Enjoy!
