Ingredients
  • * 2 sticks butter
  • * 1 cup sugar
  • * 1 sleeve saltines
  • * 12 oz. chocolate chips

Directions
  1. Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil.
  2. Arrange the saltines in a single layer.
  3. Cook the butter and sugar in a pan until well mixed, frothy and thick.
  4. About 5-8 minutes.
  5. Pour over saltines and spread evenly to cover all the saltines.
  6. Bake at 350 for 8 -10 minutes.
  7. Remove when very bubbly and *before they look done*.
  8. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the saltines and return them to the oven for about a minute.
  9. Then remove from oven to spread the melting chocolate to cover the whole pan of saltines. Let pan cool for a few minutes...
  10. Refrigerate until firm.
  11. Break into pieces and enjoy.
  12. :) They'll be gone in a flash!
  13. Great with a glass of Milk or Coffee.

These remind me of "Choco Soda" a chocolate cracker thing they sell here in Peru...its saltine crackers covered with chocolate...they are delicious and i was actually wondering how i could make them...gonna use your recipe! :)
