Easy Soup Bowls Recipe
Wonderful with your favorite thick, creamy soup or dip!

Ingredients
  • 1 loaf frozen white or wheat bread, thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten

Directions
  1. Cut loaf into thirds.
  2. Form each third into a ball.
  3. Place on a large, sprayed baking sheet.
  4. Brush with egg.
  5. Cover with sprayed plastic wrap.
  6. Let rise until double in size.
  7. Remove wrap and bake 350* for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Cool and slice off top.
  9. Hollow out bread and fill with your favorite dip, chili, or soup.
  10. Keep bread chunks to "dip".
  11. (For larger bowls, cut loaf in half)

I tried these back when you first posted with some beef stew. WOW It was so delicious, but then I got a bread machine for my birthday. But I'm still keeping this one on hand. Sometimes things get hectic and you need a good shortcut.
