Easy Caramel Apple Bake

- 4 cups cubed red baking apples, I didn't peel them, but you can shopping list
- 1/3 cup corn flake crumbs shopping list
- 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4 chopped dry roasted peanuts shopping list
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose baking flour shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted shopping list
- caramel ice cream topping shopping list
- fresh lemon juice, I used about 2 tablespoons shopping list
How to make it
- Heat the oven to 400°.
- Spray a square baking dish, about 1-1/2 quart, with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a bowl, combine corn flake crumbs, bown sugar, peanuts and flour.
- Mix well.
- Stir in butter and mix well again.
- In a large bow, combine the apples, caramel topping and lemon juice.
- Mix well.
- Spoon into baking dish and sprinkle with crumb mixture.
- Bake at 400° for 20-25 minutes or until apples are tender and mixture is bubbly.
- Cool slightly before serving.
- The apple layer will be "saucey".
- Serve with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
