How to make it

  • Heat the oven to 400°.
  • Spray a square baking dish, about 1-1/2 quart, with non-stick cooking spray.
  • In a bowl, combine corn flake crumbs, bown sugar, peanuts and flour.
  • Mix well.
  • Stir in butter and mix well again.
  • In a large bow, combine the apples, caramel topping and lemon juice.
  • Mix well.
  • Spoon into baking dish and sprinkle with crumb mixture.
  • Bake at 400° for 20-25 minutes or until apples are tender and mixture is bubbly.
  • Cool slightly before serving.
  • The apple layer will be "saucey".
  • Serve with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
