Ingredients

How to make it

  • Beat the eggs on high speed of mixer for 5 minutes.
  • Slowly beat in the sugar.
  • Stir in the pumpkin.
  • Stir together the dry ingredients and fold into the pumpkin mixture. Grease and flour a wax paper lined jelly roll pan and spread the mixture in the pan, sprinkle with the nuts.
  • Bake at 350* for 15 - 20 minutes.
  • Turn out on kitchen towel that has been sprinkled with powdered sugar, place a piece of wax paper over the cake and roll up from the short side. Let cool then unwrap and spread with Cream Cheese Filling and roll back up Refrigerate

    I found this recipe when I was about 19. I am now 29 and I still make this every year for my family. I substitute the cream cheese filling with a Cinnamon whipped cream instead.

    Looks great! A nurse that I worked with in DC used to take orders in Novmember and she would make this for us. I think she charged $10 a pumpkin roll and it was well worth every penny because I can cook, but I can't bake very well and I'm very intimidated to even try it.

    I am not a huge fan of sweets, but I really do love pumpkin roll--maybe because I love cream cheese and pumpkin. Anyway, I've lost my recipe, so this looks like a good one to replace it with. I have to try this [like tomorrow, she says 'sotto voce' and hide it...from the other seven of us...]!

    My Mom & I have been making pumpkins rolls to see for 2 years now. The recipe we use is a little different, it makes 2 at a time. However, it's the exact same ingredients. These are PERFECT for anytime of year, especially around the Holidays. Our orders grow everytime we fire up the oven to make them!

    Pumpkin rolls got me into LOTS of trouble as a kid as I tried, unsuccessfully, to "sneak" the cream cheese center out with my little fingers. I was so BUSTED and my punishment...no pumpkin roll until the NEXT DAY!!! Brutal,I tell you. This is a great recipe!!!
