How to make it

  • Combine half and half, milk, sugar, egg substitute, flavor extracts and xanthan gum in a blender then cover and puree 3 minutes.
  • Pour into freezer of your ice cream maker and stir in the hazelnuts.
  • Freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Let stand 5 minutes at room temperature or until it can be sliced easily.

    I'm with krumkake, I have the will, the recipes, and the ingredients just no maker. Befriending local chefs helps, sometimes they let you use theirs.
    This looks great, I might try and find a workaround to the maker issue.

    I have found THE BEST ice cream recipes on this site all summer long, and you have come up with yet another one I need to print...now, if only I would remember to go buy an ice cream maker some time, that would probably help!
