How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Melt caramels and water in microwave in 15 second intervals.
  • Stir after each interval and keep doing this until caramels are melted smooth.
  • Combine sugar, salt, eggs, and vanilla.
  • Gradually add melted caramel sauce and mix well.
  • Stir in pecans.
  • Pour into pie shell.
  • Bake for 45 minutes.
  • Pie filling will be soft but will firm as it cools.
