Caramel Pecan Pie Recipe
Another recipe I originally got from my friend Charlotte but I tweaked it just a bit to my family's liking. I made this just recently and it is really yummy.

Ingredients
  • 36 individually wrapped caramel candies
  • 1/4 C. water
  • 2/3 C. butter
  • 3/4 C. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 C. pecan pieces
  • 9 " unbaked pie shell

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Melt caramels and water in microwave in 15 second intervals.
  3. Stir after each interval and keep doing this until caramels are melted smooth.
  4. Combine sugar, salt, eggs, and vanilla.
  5. Gradually add melted caramel sauce and mix well.
  6. Stir in pecans.
  7. Pour into pie shell.
  8. Bake for 45 minutes.
  9. Pie filling will be soft but will firm as it cools.
