Ingredients

How to make it

  • Put all ingredients (A) together in a bowl.
  • Mix till well combined.
  • Take some mixture and flatten in your palm.
  • Put a piece of cheese in the middle.
  • Cover the cheese by working the mixture over it and rolling it in to a ball shape.
  • Dust with flour shaking excess.
  • Dip into egg.
  • Coat with breadcrumbs.
  • Deep fry till golden brown.
  • Drain and serve immediately.
  • Note:
  • Adding coriander or spring onions is optional. It's to add colour and for coriander, colour and smell.
  • You can fold sliced cheese (singles) into cube and use that too.

    They look delicious and easy to make. I'm just wondering if there's any way they can be fried on the stove, or baked in the oven. I don't own a deep fat fryer, but I do want to try this recipe.

    I tried making this tonight and it didn't go so well. I think I made them too big because the cheese didn't melt inside. Also, I'm wondering if I got the same cheese you used. I used those Babybels where you take the wax off before eating it. Was that the wrong kind? Another option I thought of after the fact was possibly mixing my favorite shredded cheese in with the potato/tuna mixture instead of a clump of cheese in the middle. That way, there's cheese throughout the entire ball. Just some thoughts on my part...let me know what you think :)

    I don't want you to take this the wrong way...lol. I was curious how big you make your balls. Like a baseball, golf ball, somewhere in the middle?
