The secret is a hot pan and really short cooking time...the taste will surprise you. So if you have never liked these little heads try them like this.

Ingredients
  • 18 + brussel sprouts
  • cut them in half
  • remove the core just like a big cabbage, use a triangle cut and remove the bottom of the brussel sprout.
  • everything will separate
  • Cut the Brussel Sprouts Into Thin Slices
  • slice really thin, across the grain.
  • if any leaves come off roll them up and slice them
  • one lemon halved
  • one tablespoon olive oil,
  • one tablespoon butter,
  • and salt and pepper to taste.

Directions
  1. Fry pan or wok
  2. on very high heat
  3. put in the olive oil when the pan is just smoking hot.
  4. Throw in the brussel sprouts.
  5. Squeeze in half the lemon,
  6. Add the salt and pepper.
  7. cook this for exactly 60 seconds
  8. Stir constantly for 60 seconds, and then turn off the heat.
  9. Add the other half lemon, which is going to cool the pan down a little.
  10. Put in your butter and stir that in and when that's melted you're ready to serve.
  11. Cook right before ready to serve and put in serving dish quickly or it
  12. will continue to cook.

My husband and I love brussel sprouts! Our boys not to much. In fact they hate the smell, but we like to drive them nuts. This recipe sounds soooo good. I can't wait for us to try this say maybe this weekend. Thanks for the share. MJ

If you cook them like this there will be no bad sulphur smell and don't tell them what it is and they just might taste it!!!!


I actually like brussel sprouts a lot. I think this would be easy enough for me to try.


Try 'em snuffle it is easy. Just prepare first and will only take a few minutes. You can do it.


Okay...this is good eats! I will do these up with some pork chops and brown rice...Num, I love these little guys. The lemon and the EVOO sound awesome. I will keep you posted!
