How to make it

  • 1. Heat oven to 375 F.
  • 2. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and salt in large bowl until creamy. Add eggs; beat well.
  • 3. Stir together flour, cocoa and baking soda; gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well blended. Add chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • 4. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Cool slightly; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Cool completely.
  • 5. While cookies are baking, melt chocolate almond bark in a double cooker. After cookies are cooled, dip each one in melted choclate, about halfway. Place on wax paper and cool completely. (for faster cooling, refrigerate) About 5 dozen cookies.

    I found mine at Walmart. I haven't seen it in other stores, though.

    Looks and sounds really good, not sure I can find the cherry extract though. I don't recall ever seeing it here, where do you normally purchase it?
