How to make it
- Dissolve sugar, and yeast in milk (set aside)
- Sift, then measure flour, then cut in butter. Add yeast mixture to egg yolks, mix well.
- Add this to flour mixture and mix well.
- Divide dough into 2 parts, roll out to fit a 9X13 pan.
- Spread filling on dough, cover with remaining rolled dough.
- Let stand to rise until light, about 1 hour.
- Bake at 350* for about 45 minutes
- ***You could also drizzle this glaze over it if you want to dress it up some when it comes out of the oven.
- Glaze: 1 Cup of powdered sugar, 2 tsp. softened oleo a sprinkle of salt, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1 1/2 Tablespoons of milk (heated slightly)
- It is a soft glaze I use on cinnamon rolls, once it sets you can touch it with your fingers and it won't come off but it stays soft never gets hard and crunchy.
