Ingredients

1 lbs. of fresh white button mushrooms

1/2 lbs of crimini or baby bella mushrooms

1 teas salt

1/3 cup of softened unsalted butter

1/4 teas of cayenne pepper

1/4 teas of nutmeg

1 tablespoon of parsley

3 tablespoons of grated onion

1 tablespoon of dijon mustard

1 1/2 tablepoons of flour

1 cup of heavy cream

Directions

Wipe the mushrooms. Halve the mushrooms, place in a buttered 1 1/2 quart casserole.

Combine softened butter, with salt, cayenne, nutmeg, parsley, onion, mustard and flour.

Dot butter over mushrooms; pour heavy cream over all.

Bake at 375 degrees for 60 minutes.

Making this for the kid's contribution to her holiday dinner....Will flambee the mushrooms with some brandy before baking them in the butter and cream. Will add extra flavor. If I can get a picture tomorrow, I'll upload one. Also making Baked Amber Honey bourbon Vidalia onions and blasted bloody cherry tomatoes (cherry tomatoes, shallots, garlic thyme, vodka and a touch of cream).
