How to make it

  • In a saucepan over medium heat bring brown sugar, apple joice, butter, salt and cornstarch to a boil.
  • Stir in apples and lemon juice; cook & stir over low heat until apples are crisp tender, 5-8 mins.
  • Pour into pastry shell which has been lightly baked.
  • In a small bowl beat egg, milk, sugar, coconut, vanilla and cinnamon; mix well.
  • Pour over apple mixture.
  • Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until set.
  • Cool on wire rack.
  • For the topping, beat the cream cheese and sugar in a mixing bowl.
  • Stir in vanilla and pecans.
  • Fold in Cool Whip.
  • Spread over the pie.
  • Chill.
  Close

    LOVE THIS POST AND BEING A PIE LOVER CANT WAIT TO TRY THIS. YOU MAY WANT TO TRY MY AMISH APPLE PIE. I MAKE IT AROUND 10 FOR THANKSGIVING. IT IS HUGEEEEEEE AND IT IS FULL OF APPLES, HEAVY CREAM AND A GREAT CRUMB TOPPING. IT TASTES ALMOST LIKE A CARMEL APPPLE PIE. I HOPE YOU TRY IT SOME DAY. THANKS FOR A GREAT POST.
