Kataifi Cream Pie

- Syrup: shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
- few lemon dropps shopping list
- Kunafa dough: shopping list
- 250 grams kunafah(kataifi dough) found in middle east and mediteranian groceries. shopping list
- 40 grams sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup melted ghee or butter shopping list
- Filling: shopping list
- 3 small bananas shopping list
- 1/4 cup creme fraishe(keishta) shopping list
- 1/2 cup whipped cream shopping list
- 1 tbsp clear honey shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 400F,Grease a 24cmx 2cm loose bottom pie pan with butter and keep aside.
- For the syrup:
- Heat sugar and water over medium heat till sugar is dissolved,then boil for 5 minutes add the lemon juice and let it cool.Syrup will thiken while cooling.
- Kunafah:
- In a large bowl mix kunafah with sugar,add the melted butter or ghee and mix well till all kunafah stipes are combined with butter or ghee.Pat the dough in the bottom of the dish and using a smaller dish press the dough tightly till you get an even surface.Bake for 15 minutes till golden in color.Take out from oven and dizzle with cold syrup.Cool completly.
- Cut 1 banana nto slices and arrange them over the crust.Spread the cream fresh.Cut the second banan same way and arrange over.Spread with whipped cream.Cut the third banana and arrange over the whipped cream.Dizzle with honey.Chill till served
