This is SO EASY that even a novice cook can do it. As I've said before I love cinnamon in my meat dishes and this is no exception.

Ingredients
  • 3 & 1/2 T. Butter
  • 1 & 1/2 lbs. lean stew meat,cubed
  • 1 c. canned chopped tomatoes,with juice
  • 1 c. beef broth
  • 1 T. white wine vinegar
  • 1/8 t. cinnamon
  • 1/8 t. cloves
  • 1/2 lb wide egg noodles

Directions
  1. Brown 1/2 of beef in 1 T. butter & set aside in a bowl. Then do the same with the other half of the beef. Stir the tomatoes & broth into the same pan you browned the meat in ,then reduce heat & stir to scrape all the browned bits;aka where all the flavor is. ;o)
  2. Now add the rest of the ingredients to the same pan & simmer on low heat till beef is fork-tender....I would think for about an hour to an hour & 1/2 . Serve over the egg noodles. I think it would go great over rice as well.

Easy and good......woth 5 to me!

Sounds delicious but the addition of cinnamon and cloves makes this seem more Greek than Turkish. Are you sure about the Turkish origin of this recipe?
